Initially, the U.S. at War was called America: Kidney Punched. It was meant to be our ongoing coverage and analysis of the Sept. 11, 2001 WTC Disaster, and the US's subsequent "War on Terror," addressed through serious analysis, as well as humor and satire. Since then, the US's "War on Terror" has transformed to a War in Iraq, and what we can only assume will be ongoing reaction to our relatively newfound (compared to the rest of the world) exposure to global terrorism, and our shiny new policy of Pre-emption. So, like before -- serious analysis when we are able, and humor when it just becomes too terrible to otherwise discuss.
